Curtis Straughter: How Was a Dahmer Victim Arrested Years Later?
“Curtis” Straughter was supposedly murdered in 1991 by Jeffrey Dahmer. But a man matching his face, features, and last name appeared repeatedly in Florida arrest records years later — and was still online in 2025:
The photo on the left was posted in Timothy Straughter’s Facebook account in 2015. I’m not going to post a link to his Facebook account. However, it’s findable.
Notice the two freckles beneath the right eye. The same marks appear in both photos. You can also just barely make out his hairline notch in the earlier photo.
Mugshots of “Timothy Straughter” — 1999 to 2015
The man shown in these booking photos – available on mugshots.com – was arrested multiple times in Florida under the name Timothy Straughter, beginning in 1999 — eight years after Curtis Straughter’s alleged death.
1999 – Driving without a license
2000 – Contempt of court
2008 – Driving with a suspended license
These photos are publicly available via mugshots.com. The arrestee is listed as Timothy Straughter. The facial structure, features, and age progression are highly consistent with the public images of alleged Jeff Dahmer victim Curtis Straughter
Curtis Straughter is among those 15 alleged victims who aren’t in the Social Security Death Index.
“My Only Son”
Dorothy Straughter delivered a victim impact statement at Jeff Dahmer’s sentencing. She told the court that Curtis was her only son.
But here’s the problem…
As you’ve just seen, a man named Timothy Straughter — who looks exactly like Curtis —was arrested multiple times in Florida starting in 1999. He appeared again in 2015, photographed casually on Facebook. Same bone structure. Same facial spacing. Same freckles.
Some might suggest Timothy was Curtis’s brother. That theory ends here: “Curtis was my only son.” — Dorothy Straughter
a 2025 photo of "curtis" straughter
The most recent publicly available image connected to Timothy (“Curtis”) Straughter appears in 2025.
The facial structure, eye spacing, freckles beneath the right eye, and overall age progression remain highly consistent across the earlier public images and the 2025 photograph.
Make of this what you will.
This isn’t the only identity in the Dahmer case that doesn’t hold up under scrutiny.
